Dry Land Ski Training Program
This is a simple to follow written plan of workouts, catered to a training mountain athlete.
Who it’s for: Skiers, snowboarders, and climbers who want to move with more strength, control, and confidence, both on and off snow. This is not beginner-friendly; it’s designed for athletes who already move and understand that it takes grit to spend long days on the mountain.
What you get: 4 weeks 7 days a week, of written work outs, planned out and built as a training block around the rhythm of athletic performance:
Day 1: Ramp → Endurance and full-body conditioning
Day 2: Build → Strength with structural control, tempo-based, time under tension
Day 3: Mobility → Joint-specific mobility, stability, and flexibility for skiers and athletes
Day 4: Strength → Heavy-load, progressive movements to build muscle and power
Day 5: Power → Explosive, type-II muscle fiber engagement, reactive training
Day 6: Synergy → Complex training and agility: Combine strength + dynamic movement
Day 7: Reset → Recovery, regeneration, soft tissue work, and nervous system recalibration
You’ll find a balance of:
- Gym-based strength and power training
- Mobility and joint-specific work
- Recovery strategies
What’s unique: Every day has a clear focus and progression:
- Controlled strength and structural training for joint stability and endurance
- Explosive and power-based movements to engage fast-twitch muscle fibers
- Mobility and recovery practices to protect the hips, knees, and spine
- Complex training and agility to create synergy between strength to athletic movement
This program mirrors the structure I use in my own training as a professional skier and fitness coach, teaching you not just what to do, but how and why it transfers to mountain performance.
You will love this if: You care about quality of movement over aesthetics. If you are in the gym, head down, with intentions of bringing that built strength into your respective space in the outdoors, this program is designed for you. It is a guide to help you go beyond summiting the peak, but gives you the presences and mindfulness to enjoy the grit and sweat it take to get there.
Daily training plans released weekly with detailed workouts. Video demonstrations of complex moves. Unique mobility + recovery days for joint health, pre-hab, and performance longevity. Weekly Q&A on SubStack for advanced movement breakdowns or other questions. Each post is designed to educate and empower — not just tell you what to do, but why it matters for your sport.
